How do I return an item?

Refund/Return Policy:

Every piece of Emily Austin Jewelry is designed and made to each customer’s specifications. For this reason, we do not accept returns on custom orders although exceptions are made depending on the circumstances. Emily’s goal is for you to love the pieces you order. It is very important to make sure you order the correct size, length, style and crystal color.

If for any reason there are defects in the chain, crystal work or fabrication, Emily will make an assessment to determine the damage. It is helpful if you send a photo of the damage. If there is a charge, it will most likely be minimal. The customer pays to ship back an item for repair. Please enclose a check or provide payment information for $15 to cover the repair, shipping and insurance to send it back to the customer. MasterCard, American Express, Visa, Paypal and checks are accepted. Additional charges may apply depending on if the damage was a defect or if neglect or care instructions were not followed. Simple care instructions must be followed or the warranty may be voided.*

*Many customers are afraid to wash their Emily Austin pieces. They are concerned that the crystals may fall off. The opposite is true! It is very important to keep your pieces clean by following very simple instructions that are included with every purchase. You may wash your pieces by hand or in the shower. Use a soft toothbrush, soap and water in between the crystals to keep them clean. Over time if they are not cleaned, a chemical reaction may cause the crystals to separate from their backing. This can be easily avoided by keeping your piece clean especially after exercise. Crystals are glass. If you want them to sparkle, then they need to be keep them clean. Your piece should last for many years if you take care of it.
